Caroline Q. Jones

I am a recent graduate from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (Geneva, NY). I was a Media & Society major with a concentration in Cultural Productions: Composition and Technology, and minors in Art History and Studio Art. In 2019, I studied abroad in Berlin with the HWS Architect and Art Department, allowing me to focus on the Politics, Memory & Space of Berlin. In the Summer of 2020, I remotely interned at MDLive, a 24/7 tele-health company, as a social media marketing analyst. In the Summer of 2021, I remotely interned at Tuesday’s Children, a non-profit organization that supports the surviving children of 9/11 victims, military service victims and mass violence victims, as a marketing intern. From January 2019 to May 2021, I have held the office of Vice-President of HWS Mindfulness Club, an organization that emphasizes the mental health of the student body on campus. From June 2021 to December 2021, I held the position of President of HWS Mindfulness Club.
Originally from Westchester County, New York, I developed artistic sensibilities at an early age. My earliest memories are of creating and experimenting with pencils, watercolors, and pastels. I existed in a world of unrestricted imagination. Throughout the years, I have explored representational drawings and paintings, and I am currently exploring abstract expressionism through paintings.
As a Media and Society major, I have been enrolled in a variety of courses that have fueled my interest in media, communications, and production. While movie theaters remained closed during COVID-19, my coursework has exposed me to the creation of video essays, screen editing and experimental cinematography. Specifically, I am proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Suite, iMovie, Canva, and WordPress. I believe that my production skills, and my ability to use online platforms for investigation and analysis makes me well suited for a position in the vital field of media.
