DAY 4 (5/26):
After injuring my ankle, I had to rest my foot at Museum Island. As there are many art exhibits at Museum Island, I was eager to see many artworks. However, my foot kept slowing me down. I decided it would be smart to rest my foot when a bench would appear in the museum. At the Bode Museum, I navigated when I sat down after viewing a certain artwork. Taking breaks and sitting down gave me the opportunity to view more artworks. In my collage, I decided to collect images and ticket from the museum. These objects helped highlight the museums’, Bode and National Gallery, artworks. I also mapped out Museum Islands’s aerial footprint to indicate its massive structure on the island. After visiting the museums, I decided to sit in the cafe at the Bode Museum. I witnessed interactions between waiters and customers while drinking my tea and writing. The cafe was uninteresting compared to the fascinating museum. However, it gave viewers an opportunity to rest from viewing art. Their rest was similar to mine as they do not want to overwhelm their bodies and minds with too much artwork.
